BEAVERTON, OREGON – November, 1, 2016 — Ginger Rapport, Market Director for the Beaverton Farmers Market, advises there are only three more Saturday markets before the Market closes for season. They take place on Saturday, November 5, 12, 19 from 9:00am to 1:30pm. The November markets tell us it is time to stock up on all our favorite market products that can be stored, including winter squash, meat, pasta, and our cottage industry processed foods. It is also a time to gather products for the Thanksgiving meal – handcrafted pies, cakes, (the market may have turkeys), potatoes, bakery goods, cream, and more. Market vendors will also offer gift ideas for the holidays like stocking stuffers, seasonal processed foods, decorative wreaths and table decorations.
On the last November 2016 market day, November 19th, the Beaverton Farmers Market is pleased to welcome local beer authority, writer and author, Lucy Burningham. Lucy will be signing her new book, “My Beer Year,” from 10:00am to noon. A few years ago Lucy Burningham fell hopelessly in love with beer. Propelled by a curiosity and a thirst for knowledge about her favorite drink, she set out to become a beer expert. My Beer Year is what happened when she did.
