Dinerant offers 13 original flavors for National Ice Cream Month
Portland, OR (June 25, 2012) - In the heat of Portland summer, city-dwellers searching for a cool oasis to celebrate the beautiful sunshine will find respite at The Original this July. Ice cream has always been an American summertime favorite, that’s why for National Ice Cream Month in July, The Original is offering 13 enticing ice cream flavors, including some vegan friendly, a flavor contest and also a free ice cream social for a winning local business.
“We know how to have a good time at The Original, and our desserts are the perfect canvas to play with,” says The Original’s Pastry Chef Sally Bowers. “From pudding shots, to cake pops and boozy shakes, we’re passionate about being creative in the kitchen, so naturally we look forward to sharing our fresh approach to handcrafted ice cream treats during National Ice Cream Month,” continues Bowers.

Because The Original loves to engage with their customers, this summer diners will have the opportunity to create the ice cream flavor they have always dreamed of. Stop by the restaurant to make a recommendation and at the end of each month one flavor will be chosen and served at the restaurant for an entire month. Special to Ice Cream Month, The Original will host a free ice cream social for one lucky winner. Throughout the month of July, guests can drop their business cards in a bowl at the host stand for a chance to win an end of the summer party with colleagues.
