2012 has been quite a year to say the least. For starters, we are beyond excited to be moving to our new winery – the SE Wine Collective in Portland. Our new digs will be home to Division Winemaking Company and three of the most talented upcoming brands in the Oregon wine scene. The kitchen will definitely be exciting with Bow & Arrow Wines, Helioterra Wines and Vincent Wine Company cooking up some enological wonders this fall!
A DWC new release will soon be available: our 2010 Pinot Noir “Deux” is on its way after a nice 9 month rest in the bottle! This is a selection of our three favorite barrels that showed elegance, structure and great potential for ageing. To celebrate, we’ve partnered with acclaimed Bay Area chef Ryan Baker, whose tenure includes multiple Michelin starred posts like Manresa, Coi and Delfina, for a five course gastronomical harvest meal we’re calling the “Vin vs Wine.” This ultra-exclusive event will be held on October 19th in the new SE Wine Collective barrel room.

This month Portland Monthly released their list of “Oregon’s 50 Best Wines 2012.” Two of our wines made this esteemed list! Our 2011 Gamay Noir ranked #1 in the Other Red category and our 2011 Rose of Pinot Noir ranked #5 in the Rosé category. We are honored and excited to be recognized among so many amazing wines.
Our 2011s are bottled! Two weeks ago we bottled our 2011 Chardonnay and our Pinot Noirs: the “Un”, “Deux”, and our first single vineyard offering, the “Trois” from the Saikkonen Vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA.
We are excited for this next stage and can’t wait to share it with all of you.
