REPEAL DAY SPECIALS!
Tropical drinks are the first post-prohibition drinking phenomenon! To celebrate, this Wednesday, Dec. 5th, we’ll be whipping up a special menu of Donn Beach’s original recipes from 1934! Drink like you’ve been thirsty for over a decade!
AGED EGG NOG AND HOT BUTTERED RUM!
We’ve got a WONDERFUL year long aged egg nog, made with small farm eggs, a blend of premium aged rum, cognac and bourbon, and a bountiful bouquet of exotic spices! Served on the rocks with nutmeg, or whipped with egg whites for the traditional frothy concoction. Served all month or until it’s gone! We’ve also got a wonderful Hot Buttered Rum that’s sure to pick up your winter woes.

We’ll be carrying B.G.Reynolds’ seasonal PEPPERMINT and HAZELNUT syrups! Locally made with the best of Oregon’s bounty, and wonderful for your home holiday concoctions! We’ve got plenty of stocking stuffers as well with the B.G.Reynolds’ Syrup Sampler and our Hale Pele Hot Buttered Rum Batter! Of course, don’t forget your HALE PELE GIFT CERTIFICATES!

We’ve been working hard, researching, travelling to exotic locales and adventuring to previously unknown locations to bring you the best in tropical bites and drinks! Our drink menu will be expanding with three new additions! After Dec. 4th, you can expect to see the LAPU LAPU, QUEEN’S PARK SWIZZLE and VOLCANO BOWL headed your way! All wonderful tropical cocktails from times long gone. And to fill your belly, Chef Beth Harding will be premiering a few new plates! CHICKEN KATSU WINGS, BIBIMBAP, SIZZLING CONGEE, VOLCANO NOODLES and more! Don’t worry, your favorites are still there, but now you’ve got even more great options every day, including our daily special plates and happy hour special!
ALL ABOUT THE BARREL RUM CLASS!
Join Blair on Sunday, Dec. 16th at 3pm for a taste of what we’ve been kicking around in our barrels! Blair will be making a presentation discussing the barrel aging portion of what goes into a fantastic rum, as well as tastes of barrel aged rums of different styles and drinks that will really show what a difference a few years makes! CHRISTMAS EVE AT HALE PELE!
Monday, December 24th, Come on in for a MELE KALIKIMAKA CHRISTMAS EVE! We’ll be putting together a menu of Santa’s favorite winter cocktails to try and get the jolly fat man down our unreasonably small chimney. Tom & Jerrys, Egg Nog and Flips will be on the menu, and maybe if we’re all good there may just be A VISIT FROM SANTA WITH GIFTS!!! (okay, okay, we’re in good with Santa, and we’re pretty sure he’ll be dropping by at 10pm… he’s as punctual as he is generous).
NEW YEARS EVE AT HALE PELE!
Join us on New Years eve to ring in the new year! We’ll be revelling in 2013 with a specials menu featuring plenty of bubbly! Pele may even join in, though when she bubbles to the surface, things get a bit HOT!
We will be closed on Dec. 25th, Christmas day and January 1st, New Years Day to shake off some of the holiday cheer.
